Setting up server using mobile phone

November 14th, 2008 | by Hideident |

It is a common if we set up and configure a server using console or remote using the pc. But it is a pride if we can remote with an unordinary method, like what I done a few time ago. I set up a remote server using mobile phone. YES! Little difficult but it interesting and full of challenge.
Setting up server not from behind the table, but when we walk on foot, while we take dinner on canteen,or while pup on toilet, hehehe

How we start with remote login, installing packet, partitioning disk, update application, even using vi editor and midnight commander, all can be done using mobile phone.

What I used is blackberry and midpssh 1.6.0 . You know what I have done?
- remote login
- configure kernel
- install rpm
- update application using yum
- install a webserver
- install dns server, mail server, ftp server and Configure them!
- fdisk partition , and many more

Okey, now I have finished. Just a little sleepy, and my two thumbs feel stiff, hehe
